5 shoppers killed in Dutch mall shooting

(CNN) -- Dutch officials say a gunman opened fire at a mall on Saturday, killing five people and wounding nine others before shooting himself in the head, a journalist with CNN affiliate SBS reported.
Bas Eenhoom, mayor of Alphen aan de Rijn, told reporters that the shooter, whose identity is unknown, fired an automatic rifle and killed himself before police arrived on the scene.
The mall was evacuated. Four of the injured are in critical condition, Eenhoom said.
