Worlds Most Typical Person

National Geographic's latest project is an ambitious effort to understand the human race -- a race that will soon encompass a staggering 7 billion human beings, the magazine said.

As part of its project, National Geographic set out to figure out what constitutes the most typical attributes of human beings. After combing through the stats, they determined that the most typical person is Chinese, as 19% of humanity is, and speaks Mandarin -- as 13% of people do.

The typical human is also Christian, holds a service job and lives in an urban environment.

He's right-handed, too, and definitely male, as there are slightly more men on the planet than women -- just barely, National Geographic said.

With that information, the magazine used a composite image from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which combined 190,000 photos of 28-year-old Han Chinese men to create a composite face, seen on on the left in the image above.

Digital artist Joe Lertola then recreated the image on the right, in the style of pointilist paintings, using 7,000 human figures -- one for every million people on the planet. Watch the video for a few more interesting facts, and some thoughts on who the most typical person will be in 2020

(CNN) -- Texas authorities have made an arrest in connection with one of hundreds of blazes scorching the state in what a forest service official called the "perfect storm for wildfires." A man has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, which is a felony under Texas law, Austin Fire Department Battalion Chief Palmer Buck said early Monday. Toddler shoots mom dead, boy's father tells Florida police

(CNN) -- A toddler shot and killed his mother, the boy's father told South Florida police, who say they will talk to the 2-1/2-year-old. The father, who called 911, told police he was trying to take the firearm away from the child when it discharged. The boy's mother -- Julia Bennett, 33 -- was shot once in the back and died from the injury, said Miramar Police spokeswoman Tania Rues. "What we do know is that last Wednesday, shortly after 7 o'clock, we received a 911 call from a gentleman stating that his 2-1/2-year-old son accidentally shot his mother -- the boy's mother," Rues told HLN's Vinnie Politan. Rues said investigators will talk to the toddler about the shooting, but that "due to the age, we're not expecting to get much." The boy's father has not been identified by police. Dexter Isaac Confesses To 1994 Robbery/Shooting Of 2Pac

In a statement to AllHipHop, Dexter Isaac calls Jimmy Henchmen a government informant and takes responsibility for robbing and shooting Tupac Shakur in 1994. In 1994, Tupac Shakur was shot during a robbery while entering New York’s Quad Studios. After sustaining five gunshot wounds, Shakur would check himself out of the hospital and attend the sexual abuse trial that would send him to jail one year later. Until his death, ‘Pac maintained that Notorious B.I.G. and Sean Combs were somehow connected to the shooting. He named former B.I.G. associate James “Henchmen” Rosemond in the song “Against All Odds.” On Wednesday, Dexter Isaac told AllHipHop.com that Rosemond paid him $2,500 to rob Shakur.
