(CNN) -- Hip-hop singer Wyclef Jean was recovering Sunday after he was shot in the hand, his publicist said. Spokeswoman Cindy Tanenbaum said Jean, who was in Haiti, was shot in Port-au-Prince on Saturday -- on the eve of the country's presidential runoff vote. The wound was superficial, she said. The singer was taken to a hospital, treated and released. "He is doing well," Tanenbaum said. Haitians are choosing between a former first lady and a popular musician Sunday in the pivotal presidential runoff vote for a nation still recovering from a devastating earthquake and political turmoil. Former law professor and first lady Mirlande Manigat faces singer Michel Martelly in the second round of presidential elections. Final results of the runoff will be released on April 16, according to officials. CBS News) A spring break party turned deadly yesterday in Blaine, Minn., because of a mass overdose. Police say at least 11 party goers overdosed on a designer drug known as 2 C-E, one of those, 19-year-old Trevor Robinson died. The 2 C-E was obtained legally, over the Internet. CBS News Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton explains to "Early Show" co-anchor Erica Hill exactly what this drug is and what it does to the body. Hill points out that it's really hard to keep track of these designer drugs like 2 C-E, for both parents and the government. So what exactly does 2 C-E do? According to Ashton, part of the reason it's so dangerous is because it's part of a class of drugs known as hallucinogens that have psychedelic effects very similar to LSD or ecstasy. Mar 1, 2011 A pregnant woman was shot to death in suburban Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, but doctors were able to deliver her baby alive, CNN affiliate WBNS-TV reports. Tenishia Latham, 25, and her husband, Larry Latham, 28, were both shot by a man with whom Larry Latham was having a dispute, police told the station. Three children, ages 4, 8 and 9, were in the Clinton Township home when the attack occurred but were unharmed, the Columbus Dispatch reported. One of the children called 911. Paramedics rushed Tenishia Latham, seven months pregnant and shot in the head, to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead but the baby, a girl, was delivered. The infant is being cared for in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit, according to WBNS. Paramedics found the husband lying in the yard with a gunshot wound to the head. A legislative bill that takes aim at sagging clothes was passed by members of the Florida House of Representatives' K-20 Education Innovation Subcommittee yesterday (March 15th). The bill was introduced by Rep. Hazelle Rogers (D-Lauderhill, Florida) and passed unanimously by the subcommittee, reports The St. Petersburg Times. "This pro-family, pro-education, pro-jobs bill provides each school district ... adopt a student dress code of conduct, a policy that explains to each student their responsibility," Rep. Rogers said. "This would make for a better school district and more productive students." The bill doesn't mention sagging pants, but its clear by the verbiage, which prohibits students from wearing clothing that "exposes the underwear or body parts in an indecent or vulgar manner." (AllHipHop News) North Carolina rapper Petey Pablo is facing jail time this summer, after pleading guilty to possession of a stolen firearm yesterday afternoon (March 16th). Petey Pablo was arrested on September 11th at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, as he attempted to board a flight to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The rapper was taken into custody after police found a 9mm handgun, along with live ammunition, in his carry-on luggage. To make matters worse, the gun was later found to be stolen and Petey is a convicted felon, which means he cannot possess firearms. The rapper claims that he forgot the firearm was in his bag, after it was taken from a distressed friend who was threatening to use the weapon. Petey Pablo is best known for his hit singles "Freek-a-Leek," "Raise Up" and "Goodies" featuring Ciara. The rapper, born Moses Barrett III, faces 10 years in prison if he is convicted.

New Haven, Connecticut (CNN) -- A Yale University lab technician pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and attempted sexual assault in the killing of graduate student Annie Le in 2009. Raymond Clark III will be sentenced to 44 years in prison as part of the plea agreement. In court Thursday, prosecutors described injuries to the victim and evidence of attempted sexual assault. Le, 24, was strangled to death. She had a broken jaw and collarbone, the prosecution said. Clark's DNA was "all over" the crime scene, including in her underwear, the state charged. Le's body was discovered inside a wall of a Yale lab building four days later after an extensive search by the FBI and police. Clark, 26, admitted the facts as the prosecution presented them but pleaded guilty under a legal precedent that allows him to do so while still officially protesting his innocence. Sadly, after years of battling deteriorating health, rapper,singer and LBC native Nate Dogg (whose real name was Nathaniel Hale) passed away at the age of 41. No exact cause of death was immediately released when the family announced his death to the Long Beach Press Telegram, though the rapper suffered two massive strokes in recent years, one in 2007 which left him partially paralyzed, and another in 2008. Nate Dogg was a four-time Grammy nominee and a major participant in the West Coast G-Funk sound, contributing memorable and chart-topping hooks to hits spanning the past two decades, starting with his heavy featuring on Dr. Dre's The Chronic.
